Archived homepage of Atworld.Net (April 1997)
Atworld.Net was an internet service that was offered by Bandai Digital Entertainment to users of the Pippin @WORLD console, which was launched in December 1996 in the United States. Unlimited access was available for $19.95 a month.[1]
Supported software
Bandai's @WORLD Browser and TV Works suite were optimized to work with Atworld.Net, but could be configured to work with other service providers. The Atworld.Net homepage was also available in desktop and Pippin-optimized versions.[1] The full-featured desktop site requires the Macromedia Shockwave plug-in.[1][2]
Closure
Atworld.Net was defunct (HTTP 404 error) as of January 1999.[3]
